The car tire factory in Dębica was established as part of the construction of the Central Industrial District. It began its official activity on April 4, 1939, 6 days after it produced the first tire and two years after commencing work on the construction of a tire factory in Dębica, then known as Fabryka Gum Jezdnych, in the spring of 1937.
Tire production in Dębica survived the difficult times of World War II.
In the following decades, the tire factory in Dębica experienced a period of development - in the post-war years the demand for tires grew rapidly. It was decided to modernize the tire production technology, expand the factory with new facilities and supply it with modern machinery. The factory has also become a place of research on tires aimed at modernizing tire production.
In the 1970s, Dębica launched the production of radial tires.
In the 1980s, the construction of a truck and agricultural tire factory was started, completed at the turn of 1986 and 1987 and put into operation late 1988
At the beginning of 1996, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company acquired a majority stake in Dębica.
In October 2000, a modern Logistics Center was established - one of the most modern and largest facilities of this type in Poland. The following years are for Tire Company Dębica S.A. next large investments, incl. in the production of tires for high performance cars (the so-called high performance and ultra high performance tires). and in the production of truck tires.
The next decade of the 21st century is the next successes and investments: the Dębica tire factory receives quality certificates (ISO 9001, QS 9000, ISO 14001, ISO / TS 16949), purchases modern machines and implements the production of labeled tires, even before the entry into force of the new European Union directive which came into force on November 1, 2012.
Dębica tires maintain a competitive position in relation to other tire manufacturers in Poland and in the world, and the factory in Dębica continues the production of tires with the highest technical parameters.
